Before Using Advair
Inform your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are allergic to any prescription or non-prescription medicine; taking other medicines
or have other medical problems; pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Check with your Doctor, Pharmacists, or Nurse if information in this leaflet causes you special concern or if you want
additional information about your medicine and its use.
Inform your doctor if you have any of these conditions : HEART CONDITION or HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.
Common Use for Advair
For long-term maintenance treatment and prevention bronchospasm in patients with ASTHMA
How to Use Advair
Use Advair exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
Advair is NOT meant to relieve ACUTE asthmatic symptoms, which should be treated with inhaled, short-acting
bronchodilator (rescue medicine).
Patient should read specific PATIENT INFORMATION provided with Advair before starting treatment and each time their
prescription is renewed.
Follow proper INHALATION TECHNIQUE according to instructions provided with your medicine. Rinse mouth with water after each
use.
- Activate and use device in a level, horizontal position.
- DO NOT EXHALE INTO DEVICE.
- DO NOT CHANGE BRANDS without consulting the physician or pharmacist.
DO NOT EXCEED recommended dosage; excessive use may lead to adverse effects or loss of effectiveness. Do not adjust the dose
unless instructed.
Advair Missed Dose
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
Advair Storage
Keep Advair in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.
STOP TAKING Advair AND GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING OCCURS (SEE PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
BELOW):
Hypersensitivity reactions.
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU EXPERIENCE
Headache; Shakiness; Rapid heart rate; Dizziness; Irregular heartbeat; Skin rash; Dry mouth; Sore throat.
OAdvair Side Effects
- Inflammation of the pharynx Cough
- Nasal cavity/sinus discomfort
- Vomiting; Nervousness
- Nausea
- Heartburn
- Dry throat
- Diarrhea
- Numbness or tingling in hands and feet
- Altered voice production
- Breathing difficulty
- Nasal congestion
- Respiratory
infection.
If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE,
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
